Phuket, a vibrant island in Thailand, is not only renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife but also for its diverse food scene. This paradise island has embraced the global trend of plant-based eating and now has amazing vegan restaurants. In this blog post, we will explore some of the best vegan restaurants in Phuket.

Phuket was such a nice place and I absolutely loved visiting it. I spent there about 10 days.

How to get there

Restaurants

Now, let’s get to the important part. These are the restaurants I got to try and that I was really happy with.

1. The Vegan Table

Really lovely place that also offers international dishes so if you miss home definitely give this a try! We had the full breakfast, the pizza and their lovely banana dessert. It is a bit pricey but really worth it.

Vegan Pizza

Pizza with sundried tomatoes, pesto, olive and onions.

Best Dishes: Vegan Pizza, English Breakfast, Scramble Tofu

Price Range: ££

2. Reach Plant Based Kitchen

Perfect if you want to try authentic cuisines, they have lovely pad thais and curries. I absolutely loved this restaurant and it was also very very cheap. The lady that served us was absolutely sweet and friendly. I could not recommend more.

Tacos

Tacos with vegan beef, salad, tomatoes and avo.

Best Dishes: Tacos, Passion Fruit Smoothie,

Price Range: ££

3. Vegan Junkie

If you want to indulge in vegan junk food definitely give this restaurant a try. They have the best burgers and milkshakes in the whole island. I ate so much when I came here and I was absolutely stuffed. 100% recommend.

Burgers and fries

vegan beef burgers with vegan cheese and bacon, curly fries and spring rolls.

Best Dishes: Chik’n Club Burger, Vanilla Milkshake, Curly Fries

Price Range: ££

4. Central Phuket Floresta

This is not really a restaurant but it is a stand that you will find in the middle of this shopping centre. They make pad thais but also other food such as spring rolls. This pad Thai was extremely cheap (1.40£) and the last that made it was so lovely. I highly recommend to give it a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.

Pad Thai

Vegan pad thai with tofu and spring roll.

Best Dishes: Pad Thai, Spring Rolls

Price Range: £

5. On the table Tokyo Cafè

This restaurant is also inside the shopping centre that I mentioned earlier. It is a Japanese restaurant with a few vegan options. The staff was really friendly and the food was also very delicious and healthy. The prices were also very reasonable.

Rice bowl with tofu

Rice, veggies and tofu.

Best Dishes: Balanced Tofu Bowl, Fried Tofu Teriyaki, Inari Tofu maki

Price Range: ££

6. Nien Earn Vegetarian

This is a super local vegetarian restaurant in Old Phuket Town. We found this restaurant because very close to it there is a scooter rental place so we just stopped to try it. They have a vegan pad Thai and it was really good but for me it was spicy and it was very difficult to eat as I don’t like spicy food, but if you do then you’ll love it!

Vegan Pad Thai

Pad Thai with veggies, peanuts and soybean sprouts.

Best Dishes: Pad Thai

Price Range: £

7. Naka Weekend Market

This weekend night market is really nice and you’ll be able to find plenty of vegan snacks. Unfortunately, you will also see a lot of dead animals which is not the best but if you just stay away from those and only look for the vegan staff you’ll have a good time.

8. Pure Vegan Heaven

Sweet potato waffles

Sweet potato waffles with coconut syrup, chocolate spread, mango and orange.

Best Dishes: Sweet Potato Waffles, Falafel Wrap, Papaya Salad

Price Range: ££

Other vegan restaurants I didn’t get to try:

9. Pure Vegan Heaven

10. Vegan Kon Cook

It’s good to also mention that Thailand is a very vegan friendly country due to its Buddhism religion. It was very easy to find access to good vegan food while on tours and excursions.

What to do

Here are some tours and excursions that you shouldn’t miss when you go to Phuket!

Note: if you decide to do the Elephant sanctuary tour please make sure that these are ethical. Do your research!
